Bloomberg has a story right now on $255,000 golf carts in Hong Kong. A particular enclave for the wealthy banned cars, and limits the number of golf cart permits to 500 (for a population of 20,000 people). The titles transferred with every golf cart resale - so you’re really just paying for the privilege of driving a cart.
The value of such permits has increased by 67% in the past decade.
you could also rent one for $1,000 to $1300 a month.
Sadly, it does not appear that the carts are customized in any way - which is quite surprising, actually!
